The warm embrace of nature, the traces of a strong tradition, the charm of the softest materials, the evolution towards new future proposals, the reliability of the timeless classics: these are the elements that compose the Alpes collection for Autumn-Winter 2012/2013.
This is a rich proposal of values connected to the quality of materials: precious merino wools, kid mohair, fine alpaca, angora, cashmere and the blends that assure protection and comfort.
ILLUSION: The yarns explore particularly soft tactile sensations, thanks to the rich blends with cashmere, angora and kid mohair. The thinnest wools with viscose are delicate and comfortably elastic. Extremely light are the voluminous bouclés, similar to airy furs. The colours are hazy shades, from cool blues and greens to icy pinks.
TRACES: The signs of a rich past come out in the oxidised and burnt colours, and in the yarns that translate the traditional quality of alpaca in a wide variety of counts and textures. Natural and warm, the yarns highlight the melange and mouliné aspects, the lightly fulled hairiness for naturally chic knitwear.
STILLNESS: The natural imprint emerges from the warm tones of beige, camel, wood and from a range of voluminous, protective yarns. Multi-ends and melange rovings, speckled macro-slubby yarns, multicolour tweeds interpret a highly visible knitwear.
COLLISION: These are the classic yarns whose quality has been tested by using them, but renewed by jacquards and techniques that invite a dynamic style. The slightly stretch viscose has a wintery feel, while the wool blends offer new mouliné effects. The colours are bright: accents to combine with classic solid and melange shades.
EVOLUTION: The core of winter collection is the wool, renewed with 100% yarns, from the softest merinos to the most sporty shrink-resistant qualities. A glitter touch embellishes the finest wool with metallic reflections. The colours are strong, decisive, light-filled and positive.
